The Nature of Conjunctions: Harmony or Disarray?

Published on: 16th April, 2026

The intricate concept of conjunctions in astrology serves as the cornerstone of this engaging dialogue, wherein the speakers articulate the profound significance of planetary alignments. Conjunctions, as defined, signify the division of the celestial circle by a singular force, resonating with the notion of unity. The speakers expound upon the idea that when planets are in conjunction, their energies converge, thereby functioning as a cohesive entity. This amalgamation of energies introduces a spectrum of potential outcomes that are contingent upon the nature of the planets involved; thus, a conjunction can yield either beneficial or detrimental effects based on their individual characteristics. Additionally, the discussion highlights the critical factor of proximity, asserting that the closer the planets are in conjunction, the more potent the resultant energy blend will be. In pursuit of a deeper understanding, the speakers delve into the implications of conjunctions on personal astrological readings, particularly focusing on the phenomenon of stelliums, which occur when three or more planets align within a single sign. This concentration of celestial energy is described as a significant focal point, demanding careful interpretation and consideration. The dialogue further explores the complexities that arise when multiple planetary influences converge, as individuals may struggle to differentiate the distinct energies at play. The speakers provide examples, such as the Venus-Mars conjunction, illustrating how such alignments can either foster unity in relationships or incite discord, thereby underscoring the nuanced nature of astrological interpretations. The conversation culminates in a reflective analysis of conjunctions during crucial astrological milestones, such as Saturn returns. The speakers share personal anecdotes regarding their experiences with stelliums, emphasizing how the concentration of energies can lead individuals to seek balance with opposing forces. This dynamic is likened to a seesaw, wherein the weight of concentrated energy can influence an individual's trajectory. The speakers collectively assert that a comprehensive understanding of conjunctions necessitates an appreciation of the intricate interplay of astrological influences, thereby enabling a more profound insight into personal growth and development amidst the complexities inherent in astrological practice.

Takeaways:

  • The conjunction represents the division of the circle into a singular entity, denoting unity.
  • When planets align in a conjunction, their energies merge and act as one cohesive force.
  • The potency of a conjunction is influenced significantly by the proximity of the planets involved.
  • The interpretation of conjunctions can vary; they can yield positive or negative effects based on the planets' nature.
  • A conjunction is not inherently classified as good or bad; it embodies a concentrated power of influence.
  • Three or more planets in conjunction create a stellium, representing a focal point of overwhelming energy.

Speaker A:

The conjunction is the division of the circle by one.

Speaker A:

It.

Speaker A:

It actually resonates with the number one and the idea of unity.

Speaker A:

They combine.

Speaker A:

The.

Speaker A:

The planets in conjunctions combine energies and act as one.

Speaker A:

Plant.

Speaker A:

Here's some key words about conjunction.

Speaker A:

Any thoughts?

Speaker A:

Let me know your thoughts.

Speaker A:

Planets in conjunction and their energies are united.

Speaker A:

Merge energies, blended, infused, influenced, activated, enhanced, connected.

Speaker A:

The closer together the planets are determines the potency of the blend.

Speaker B:

I'm just gonna interject here and say that Valens, various Valens said at one point that the conjunction or co.

Speaker B:

Presence was treated as neutral.

Speaker B:

So it could be positive when it involves good planets or it could be negative when it involves, you know, quote unquote bad ones.

Speaker C:

Yeah.

Speaker C:

Like when we did the serial killer episode and we saw all the Moon Mars conjunctions.

Speaker B:

Exactly.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

I also say planets in conjunctions have a problem seeing each other.

Speaker A:

It may be seen by others, but the individual may struggle to differentiate.

Speaker A:

Differentiate the two inner whatever energies of.

Speaker C:

The conjunction, they always come together.

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker A:

For instance, your Mercury and.

Speaker A:

And your son is together.

Speaker A:

Your thoughts are not you.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

You know what, what do you think about the Venus Mars conjunction, which we see a lot and we actually have one right now.

Speaker B:

Yeah,.

Speaker A:

Well, that.

Speaker A:

I think either that brings relationships together or they tear them apart during those times, depending on the sign and the sign and of this with.

Speaker A:

Of the meaning of the conjunction.

Speaker A:

So for instance, right now in Capricorn is.

Speaker A:

In Capricorn, Mars is exalted in Capricorn.

Speaker A:

So it probably has the upper hand on Venus issues, you know.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

So.

Speaker A:

But if this conjunction was traveling through, let's just say Pisces, Taurus or Libra, that this conjunction may, you know, the.

Speaker A:

When, when, if, when Venus met Mars in Libra.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

The, the.

Speaker A:

The detriment of Mars that ex.

Speaker A:

That conjunction manifested differently than this manifestation in Capricorn.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

So for the audience, basically, when.

Speaker B:

When a planet is in a sign that it doesn't feel comfortable in that sign.

Speaker B:

You know, you also have to take that into consideration when reading the aspects.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Happening with that planet.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Also, this is the.

Speaker A:

A conjunction is not looked at as good, bad, easy or difficult aspect.

Speaker A:

It's pretty much is what it is, you know.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

It's a, It's a potency of power.

Speaker B:

Pretty much.

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker A:

Concentrated power.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Concentrated energy in a small area.

Speaker B:

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker A:

And last.

Speaker A:

Last thing I have, last but not least, three or more planets in.

Speaker A:

In a conjunction is called a stellium, which could be three.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Three or more planets in a house or A sign is a stallion and it's looked at as a major focal point of energy.

Speaker B:

I have one of those.

Speaker B:

So does D. Yeah,.

Speaker A:

Well, so do I.

Speaker A:

If, if you include the other planets like Pluto, you know, I got one in Virgo.

Speaker B:

That's true, man.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Any last words on the conjunction?

Speaker A:

Anything you want to add?

Speaker B:

I used to think the conjunction was like great, but when I was starting out I didn't quite know how to like read it that well.

Speaker B:

You know, now I'm just kind of like, okay, well there's a lot of energy here.

Speaker B:

So which one's fighting for what?

Speaker B:

Pretty much.

Speaker C:

Yeah, it's kind of like just fighting for attention.

Speaker C:

Let me ask you this, fighting to get out.

Speaker A:

Has your stellium really took taking a different meaning since you are in your Saturn return and you.

Speaker A:

Which way you have your stallion in Aquarius.

Speaker B:

Yes.

Speaker B:

Because I guess since Saturn is technically an outer planet.

Speaker B:

I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm.

Speaker B:

This transit has lasted way longer than like for example, the Venus or a Mars transit.

Speaker B:

So it's taken, it's taken longer than two years.

Speaker B:

So I've actually seen the difference.

Speaker B:

You know, with like Mars and Saturn, this usually, it usually takes what, like months, six months, seven months, if that.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

So when you have one of those outer planets or those slow moving planets, you kind of really see, okay, this is, this is different than with this,.

Speaker A:

With the slow moving planets, the aftermath may be worse than the actual event.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

And, and also I want to add with the conjunction, I've also, from experience I've gathered that when there's too many planets in one sign, a person can either be, could be so concentrated in that energy that they tend to go to the other side.

Speaker C:

The opposite, the opposite sign.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

So for me, you know, I have a stellium in Aquarius and while my Saturn return is happening, I've realized that I've gone a lot towards the Leo side.

Speaker B:

There's nothing, there's nothing in Leo for me.

Speaker B:

So it's kind of like think about it as like a seesaw.

Speaker B:

Right?

Speaker B:

Like there's like three people on like one side of the seesaw.

Speaker B:

So like the other side is empty and you're just like, oh, you kind of like want there to be a balance in a way.

Speaker C:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

D. Any last words on the conjunction?

Speaker C:

No, I agree with that.

Speaker C:

I mean like, I don't think you have any planets in Leo.

Speaker C:

Right.

Speaker B:

Just Chiron.

Speaker B:

But we don't talk about Chiron.

Speaker C:

We don't talk about Chiron.

Speaker C:

Yeah.

Speaker C:

So I think it's a little bit different for me where I have Jupiter in Cancer, opposite my stellium in Capricorn, where I have a Capricorn stellium.

Speaker C:

My Saturn return was in Capricorn.

Speaker A:

Did you.

Speaker A:

Did you feel your stallion more then, or do you feel your stereo now that you are.

Speaker C:

I felt it more than, like, I don't know.

Speaker C:

I guess it's different.

Speaker C:

Like, Saturn returns are hard, right?

Speaker C:

So I don't know.

Speaker C:

And I have so many planets in Capricorn that, like, first it hit Uranus, then it hit Neptune, then it hit my Saturn, and then right after that, it's Mars and Venus that are, like, more closely together.

Speaker C:

So, like, while it's blended and you're still getting like.

Speaker C:

Like during the Saturn return, while it's right on top of my Saturn, it's very close to my Mars.

Speaker C:

So, like, I get that blended energy where I'm having to work on, like, I guess, two things at once, and they're both demanding my attention.

Speaker C:

And then once it hits the next planet, Mars, like, you still have some of the Saturn involved, but then you also got to throw Venus in there too.

Speaker C:

So it's like.

Speaker C:

Like you're saying, like, a fight for attention.

Speaker C:

Like, they're all fighting to get out and you're.

Speaker C:

Ha.

Speaker C:

It's.

Speaker C:

I don't know.

Speaker C:

It's like everything at once, all at once.

Speaker C:

Wow.

Speaker C:

That was a.

Speaker B:

That was a really good description.

Speaker B:

We basically have the same thing just in the different.

Speaker B:

Different sign.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker C:

And I definitely turned to my Jupiter and Cancer and just wanted to stay home and cry and watch sad movies.

Speaker B:

And just an abundance of emotion.

Speaker C:

Just stay in my comfort zone.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker C:

Lots of feelings.

Speaker A:

All right.

PAUL HEATH

I am Paul. When I reflect back on my life, I was always interested in astrology. I would read my daily horoscope in the newspaper every day and often wonder, “how do they know?”
One day I was told I am a “cusp of beauty”, because my birthday was the last day of Virgo. I went home to research what cusp of beauty meant. My curiosity soared when finding out the meaning. I didn’t realize that I had just begun the journey of “Know Thyself.”
Learning how to read my natal chart I acquired the skills to assist others with deciphering their own chart-energy. Astrology has helped me understand and accept me for who I am. Although still work in progress, knowing about myself is surely making the process easier. I enjoy helping others (Virgo Sun) with the information I have gathered (Gemini Rising) that will help transform lives (Scorpio Moon) in a positive way.
I look forward to meeting and working with you as we embark on your journey.
