The Connection Between Rappers and Their Zodiac Signs

Published on: 10th April, 2026

The podcast presents a rich discourse examining the astrological influences on the lives and careers of various prominent rappers. The dialogue delves into the astrological signs of nine notable figures, such as Kanye West, 50 Cent, and DMX, elucidating how these celestial alignments might correlate with their artistic expressions and public personas. Our conversation is structured around the interplay of Mercury in Virgo and Gemini, emphasizing how these signs manifest in the lyrical themes and personal narratives of the artists discussed. As we navigate through the complexities of each individual's chart, I invite my co-host to engage in a spontaneous game where we spontaneously react with one or two-word descriptors for each rapper, fostering a dynamic and interactive atmosphere that reveals the essence of their contributions to the hip-hop genre. Kanye West is identified as a Gemini, prompting reflections on his evolution as an artist and public figure. My co-host poignantly captures the duality of West's persona, referring to him as 'crazy,' which opens the floor to a broader discussion on the dichotomy between his earlier works that resonated deeply with audiences and his more recent controversial actions. This leads to a profound examination of the impact of personal tragedy, such as the loss of West's mother, on his artistic trajectory and public behavior. Each rapper's astrological profile serves as a lens through which we analyze their artistry, with particular attention paid to how their signs might illuminate their thematic choices and personal challenges in the public eye. The conversation progresses to other artists like 50 Cent and Ludacris, with each segment providing insights into their astrological placements and how these may inform their lyrical content and public personas. The exploration of DMX's Virgo moon, for instance, allows us to delve into the themes of pain and authenticity in his music, illustrating how his life experiences reverberate through his artistic expressions. As we conclude our discussion, we reflect on the broader implications of astrology in understanding the complexities of public figures, particularly in an era where personal narratives are increasingly laid bare in the public domain. Our exploration not only illuminates the artists' works but also invites listeners to consider the intersections of astrology and personal identity, urging a deeper appreciation for the multifaceted nature of hip-hop artistry.

Speaker A:

So today, you know, we just went through, what, nine rappers, and I was just pointing out some of the Mercury and Virgo, Mercury, Gemini, and Virgo stuff in their chart.

Speaker A:

Like I told y', all, the list just kept getting longer and longer.

Speaker A:

I could read.

Speaker A:

I'm gonna read off some names.

Speaker A:

If you want to give a one word, two word response to some of these names as I read them off, you feel free.

Speaker B:

Maybe.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

You know that game.

Speaker A:

Remember that game?

Speaker A:

When I say.

Speaker A:

When I say a word, say the first thing that come to mind.

Speaker A:

Let's play that game with these.

Speaker A:

This list.

Speaker A:

This last.

Speaker B:

All right.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

So Kanye west is a Gemini.

Speaker B:

See, the word that comes to my mind is crazy.

Speaker B:

All right, fair enough.

Speaker A:

Fair enough.

Speaker B:

I like the old Kanye.

Speaker B:

I would like to have old Kanye back.

Speaker B:

You know, it's like he came out as the people's champ, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

Like, he was the down to earth brother, and every single thing that he said in his rhymes back then, he ended up doing it himself, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

Like, he was like.

Speaker B:

When he said in one of his rhymes, he was like, stay strong.

Speaker B:

Stay with the dude.

Speaker B:

And then when he get on, he'll leave you for a white girl.

Speaker B:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

Bam.

Speaker B:

What did he do?

Speaker B:

As soon as he got a chance, he jumped with the white girl.

Speaker B:

Not that I got anything about white folks, but it's like the second half of his career is like the flip of his.

Speaker B:

What he was talking about in the first half of his career.

Speaker B:

It's like he got money and then just went off the deep end.

Speaker B:

Now, I will say that, and I think a lot of that got to do with when his mom passed.

Speaker B:

He just kind of was lost and still is lost, but he really, really, really lost me when he jumped on that bandwagon, bruh.

Speaker B:

That MAGA bandwagon.

Speaker B:

Oh, all right.

Speaker A:

50 Cent has a Mercury.

Speaker A:

His Mercury and moon are in Gemini.

Speaker B:

50 Cent, one word.

Speaker B:

Gangster.

Speaker B:

All right, Ludicrous.

Speaker A:

Ludicrous has his son and Mercury in Virgo.

Speaker B:

Luda.

Speaker B:

The word that come to mind with Luda is entertaining.

Speaker B:

You know what I mean?

Speaker B:

He's good in the movies, but, like, you can kind of compare Luda's videos and music to Missy.

Speaker B:

He was very creative with his visual images, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

And, you know, with his voice and things like that.

Speaker B:

So.

Speaker B:

Well, I say this.

Speaker B:

Creative.

Speaker B:

Creative.

Speaker B:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

Creativity is the word that comes to mind.

Speaker A:

Dmx, he has a Virgo moon.

Speaker A:

But he has a sad son, his storyteller, sad son.

Speaker B:

Virgo Moon, bms, Rough Rider.

Speaker B:

I mean, I know that's kind of cliche because that's the label that he was on, but, like, he epitomized that label.

Speaker B:

He was just a rough and tumble thug kind of cat who just didn't give a fuck, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

How would you.

Speaker A:

Would you put him on as a.

Speaker B:

Great storyteller, a great, like.

Speaker B:

Nah.

Speaker B:

I can't think of any story.

Speaker B:

Stories off the top of my head that he just blew me away with, but he just gave you that vibe, you know what I mean?

Speaker B:

Pain.

Speaker B:

So that the one word that I would say for him is pain.

Speaker B:

It's obvious by some of the stuff that he's done, you know, after his away from the mic and entertainment, that he's in a lot of pain.

Speaker B:

For what reason?

Speaker B:

I don't know.

Speaker B:

I don't know what happened to him, but there's a lot of pain that you feel when you listen to his music and when you pay attention to what he's done away from, you know, from the mic.

Speaker A:

This next guy you already spoke about a couple of times, you brought him up.

Speaker A:

Big Daddy King, Big Daddy Kane.

Speaker B:

The one word is smooth.

Speaker B:

I think he's a smooth lyrical brother, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

It's like he could.

Speaker B:

Like, if you.

Speaker B:

It's like.

Speaker B:

They could bring a chair on stage, he could sit in the chair and rip your ass up.

Speaker B:

Sit back in a chair like this and just rip you up with the mic, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

Smooth Method Man.

Speaker A:

Gemini Moon, Meth.

Speaker B:

Damn.

Speaker B:

One word for meth is.

Speaker A:

It don't have to be one.

Speaker A:

One word.

Speaker B:

But, you know, but meth was just like, he's you.

Speaker B:

He was different, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

He was different than everybody.

Speaker B:

Like, his style was different.

Speaker B:

It was like some people try to fit in, but he tries to not fit in, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

If everybody wearing they had this way, he gonna wear his hat the other way, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

His rhymes were like that.

Speaker B:

And I think that may be a reason why.

Speaker B:

I mean, some of his albums weren't commercially as successful as they should have been, is because he just was different.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

Easy E has four planets in Virgo.

Speaker B:

Eazy Gangster, you know what I mean?

Speaker B:

That's all you can say about Eazy, because he was the original.

Speaker B:

I mean, even though Ice Cube was writing his rhymes, he was basically describing Eazy, you know what I mean, in his rhyme.

Speaker B:

So it's not like Eazy was fake, you know what I mean?

Speaker B:

Because Cube was writing his rhymes.

Speaker B:

Cube was.

Speaker B:

I mean, and every gangster rhymer around that time was trying to be what Eazy actually was.

Speaker A:

I'm glad you said that, because the next guy I'm about to name has four planets in Virgo just like Eazy E. And he has Eazy E's name tatted on him.

Speaker A:

The Game.

Speaker B:

Oh, Game.

Speaker B:

Game is.

Speaker B:

Vicious.

Speaker B:

Like.

Speaker B:

Like, I don't.

Speaker B:

I don't know personally.

Speaker B:

Like, I don't know his background from, from Compton and all that, but it's like he.

Speaker B:

I don't want to call him evil, but it's like Game just seems like somebody you don't want to fuck with.

Speaker B:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

And it's funny that you brought him up cause he's one of my favorite MCs as well.

Speaker B:

I got.

Speaker B:

I just made a.

Speaker A:

A game.

Speaker B:

A game playlist.

Speaker B:

And it got like over a hundred songs on it.

Speaker B:

Game is.

Speaker B:

Damn.

Speaker B:

I don't know, I'm at a loss for words.

Speaker B:

But like, remember we were talking about honorable mentions?

Speaker B:

Yeah, he's one of my honorable mentions.

Speaker B:

Nobody ever puts him like in the upper echelon of MCs, like when you start talking about him.

Speaker B:

But if you go back and listen to his music, you gotta put him up there.

Speaker B:

And I mean, he's still putting out music.

Speaker B:

The thing about it, a lot of people listen to somebody when they first come out, but when they ain't hot no more, they stop listening to em.

Speaker B:

Yeah, I don't do that.

Speaker B:

Like, if you, if you was hot back then and you come out with something, I'm gonna listen to it.

Speaker B:

Yeah, it may be whack, it may be good.

Speaker B:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

It may be great.

Speaker B:

And a lot of times Game, he puts stuff out and you know, it's not hyped up, but it's great music.

Speaker A:

Now, you know how I said Gemini is the masculine side of Mercury and Virgo is the feminine side of Mercury?

Speaker A:

Well, you know how I talked about Method Man?

Speaker B:

Right, right.

Speaker A:

And Method man was a Gemini moon.

Speaker A:

Well, even though Method man was in a super group, Wu Tang, he also, he grouped up with this other guy, Red man, who has a Virgo moon the opposite side of Gemini.

Speaker A:

I mean, the opposite sign of side of Mercury.

Speaker A:

Red Man.

Speaker A:

I think they complement together.

Speaker B:

Yeah, I think they complemented each other well, not only in music, but on the screen.

Speaker B:

Like, how high is one of my classic go to comedy movies.

Speaker B:

It was hilarious.

Speaker B:

And it's funny how natural everything seemed in that movie.

Speaker B:

You know what I mean?

Speaker B:

But, like, if I had to describe Redman in.

Speaker B:

In one word, it would be funky.

Speaker B:

Like when he first.

Speaker B:

That first album, he came out where Eric Sermon was producing all his songs.

Speaker B:

Funk Dr. Spock.

PAUL HEATH

I am Paul. When I reflect back on my life, I was always interested in astrology. I would read my daily horoscope in the newspaper every day and often wonder, “how do they know?”
One day I was told I am a “cusp of beauty”, because my birthday was the last day of Virgo. I went home to research what cusp of beauty meant. My curiosity soared when finding out the meaning. I didn’t realize that I had just begun the journey of “Know Thyself.”
Learning how to read my natal chart I acquired the skills to assist others with deciphering their own chart-energy. Astrology has helped me understand and accept me for who I am. Although still work in progress, knowing about myself is surely making the process easier. I enjoy helping others (Virgo Sun) with the information I have gathered (Gemini Rising) that will help transform lives (Scorpio Moon) in a positive way.
I look forward to meeting and working with you as we embark on your journey.
