The Art of Discernment: Overcoming the Shadows of Judgment-Part 2

Published on: 11th April, 2026

Trust is a multifaceted construct that is not established instantaneously, but rather cultivated in layers over time. In this second installment of our three-part series, we delve into the intricate relationship between discernment and the shadows of judgment that can cloud our perception. We explore the dichotomy between discernment—an insightful understanding that enables us to see beyond superficialities—and condemnation, a detrimental mindset that often arises from past wounds and ego-driven narratives. Our discourse encourages a reflective examination of the self, prompting us to differentiate between the intuitive voice of our inner wisdom and the loud, urgent demands of our ego. As we navigate this complex terrain, we invite you to engage in introspection, recognizing the power of trust in oneself as the cornerstone of authentic connection and healing.

Takeaways:

  • Trust is a layered construct that develops over time through consistent experiences with others.
  • Discernment is a vital skill that enables us to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics effectively.
  • It is imperative to differentiate between the voices of our intuition and the ego, which often leads to confusion.
  • Understanding the interplay between trust and judgment is crucial for personal growth and healing.
  • Low energies can cloud our judgment, leading us to make decisions that do not serve our true selves.
  • Healing occurs when we align our inner wisdom with our personal power, fostering trust within ourselves.

Speaker A:

Welcome back.

Speaker A:

In part one, we sat in the energy of two relationship, connection.

Speaker A:

And what happens when that connection gets broken at the root?

Speaker A:

We ended on the one, the self.

Speaker A:

And the question, what don't you trust about yourself?

Speaker A:

Today we move into a different vibration.

Speaker A:

Today we're working with the number seven.

Speaker A:

Seven is the most spiritual number in the system.

Speaker A:

Seven is the number of inner wisdom, of truth seeking, of the soul that refuses to accept surface level answers.

Speaker A:

Seven is also the number of discernment, the ability to see past the illusion and into the reality.

Speaker A:

But seven also has a shadow.

Speaker A:

Seven can become isolated, withdrawn, paralyzed by overthinking, disconnected from its own knowing when it's been hurt enough times.

Speaker A:

And that is exactly what we're talking about today.

Speaker A:

Judgment and the spiritual art of learning to see clearly again.

Speaker A:

Now, I know some of you have heard, don't judge is not right to judge.

Speaker A:

But let me be clear.

Speaker A:

Here's the truth in that.

Speaker A:

We judge all day, every day.

Speaker A:

And we should.

Speaker A:

Every number carries both a gift and a challenge.

Speaker A:

The gift of discernment, the ability to judge rightly, to see clearly, to know without needing to be told.

Speaker A:

The challenge of seven is when that discernment gets clouded by pain, by fear, by ego, and turns into condemnation.

Speaker A:

Discernment is seen clearly.

Speaker A:

Condemnation is sentencing someone or yourself without mercy.

Speaker A:

Discernment says, this situation doesn't feel right, I need to pay attention.

Speaker A:

Condemnation says, this person is worthless.

Speaker A:

I'm worthless.

Speaker A:

There's no coming back from this.

Speaker A:

Discernment is rooted in The High Vibration 7, the Wisdom, Spiritual clarity, the knowing.

Speaker A:

Condemnation is rooted in the low vibration seven, isolation, suspicion, the wound that never healed.

Speaker A:

A lot of us are making low seven calls and calling them wisdom.

Speaker A:

Now, let's talk about the ego for a minute.

Speaker A:

Ego lives in the energy of eight.

Speaker A:

Eight is the number of power, ambition, authority and status.

Speaker A:

In its highest form, 8 is abundance, leadership, and the ability to build something lasting.

Speaker A:

But in its lowest form, 8 is the relentless need to prove, to win, to be seen, to have the last word.

Speaker A:

The ego needs labels.

Speaker A:

It needs to categorize, rank, confirm.

Speaker A:

The ego needs outside validation because low8 is always performing for an audience.

Speaker A:

The ego will tell you to chase a fantasy because leaving would mean admitting you were wrong about something.

Speaker A:

It'll tell you to prove something to someone who stopped watching years ago.

Speaker A:

And when you follow that low 8 energy, you end up empty, spiritually malnourished, further from your true number than when you started.

Speaker A:

Now, intuition.

Speaker A:

That is the high seven.

Speaker A:

Intuition comes from your higher self, from the Part of you that is connected to something bigger than your circumstance.

Speaker A:

High seven doesn't need labels.

Speaker A:

It doesn't need an audience.

Speaker A:

It does not need outside validation.

Speaker A:

Because 7 is its own confirmation.

Speaker A:

7 Knows.

Speaker A:

It has always known.

Speaker A:

Even when you try to override it, even when the low eight ego talked loudly over it.

Speaker A:

Your gut has never lied to you.

Speaker A:

Was the low eight voice that talked you out of what your high seven was saying?

Speaker A:

Do you know someone who doesn't trust their intuition?

Speaker A:

Or maybe are you that person?

Speaker A:

Here's why.

Speaker A:

At some point in your life, you made a decision you thought was coming from your seven, from your inner knowing, from your discernment, but it was actually coming from your eight, from your ego, from the need to prove something, from chasing a fantasy dressed as a calling.

Speaker A:

And it cost you.

Speaker A:

So now every time eight speaks, you second guess it.

Speaker A:

Because you can't tell the difference anymore between the voice that knows and the voice that wants.

Speaker A:

But here's how you can tell them apart.

Speaker A:

Low eight feels urgent, exciting.

Speaker A:

It has momentum.

Speaker A:

But it needs an audience.

Speaker A:

It's attached to the outcome, to how it looks, to what people will say, to winning high seven.

Speaker A:

The intuition feels steady, quiet.

Speaker A:

Sometimes it can be inconvenient because it tells you the truth about something you were hoping wasn't true.

Speaker A:

When you add seven and eight together, you get 15.

Speaker A:

And when you add one and five together, you get six.

Speaker A:

And six, remember, is the number of love and healing of the home that is not a coincidence.

Speaker A:

When you bring your wisdom and your power into alignment, when that seven and the eight are working together instead of working against each other, the result is healing.

Speaker A:

The healing of the home inside you.

Speaker A:

Before we close part two, sit with this.

Speaker A:

Think about a time you ignored your gut.

Speaker A:

What was the voice that talked you out of it saying?

Speaker A:

Was it your seven, quiet, steady, already knowing?

Speaker A:

Or was it your eight?

Speaker A:

Loud, urgent, needing to prove your judgment isn't broken.

Speaker A:

Your judgment just got hijacked by low 8 energy, by trauma, by ego, by the need for validation from people who may not even be in your life anymore.

Speaker A:

The path back is learning to return to your seven.

Speaker A:

To stillness, to the knowing, to the part of you that was never confused, only silenced.

Speaker A:

In part three, we're going to bring the whole number system home.

Speaker A:

We look at what happens when broken trust and clouded judgment collide.

Speaker A:

And more importantly, how you heal from the inside out.

Speaker A:

And until next time, remember, you're all stars, so shine like one.

PAUL HEATH

I am Paul. When I reflect back on my life, I was always interested in astrology. I would read my daily horoscope in the newspaper every day and often wonder, “how do they know?”
One day I was told I am a “cusp of beauty”, because my birthday was the last day of Virgo. I went home to research what cusp of beauty meant. My curiosity soared when finding out the meaning. I didn’t realize that I had just begun the journey of “Know Thyself.”
Learning how to read my natal chart I acquired the skills to assist others with deciphering their own chart-energy. Astrology has helped me understand and accept me for who I am. Although still work in progress, knowing about myself is surely making the process easier. I enjoy helping others (Virgo Sun) with the information I have gathered (Gemini Rising) that will help transform lives (Scorpio Moon) in a positive way.
I look forward to meeting and working with you as we embark on your journey.
