Real Men Wear Pink — Astrology Explains Why

Published on: 17th February, 2026

An exploration of the complexities surrounding gender expression and astrological influences permeates the discussion, as both speakers engage in a thoughtful dialogue examining the manifestations of masculinity and femininity within the framework of astrological signs. Speaker A posits the intriguing notion of the sun residing in Virgo, a sign traditionally classified as feminine yet located in a masculine quadrant, thus inviting a consideration of how such celestial associations influence personal identity. This leads to a profound inquiry: what does it mean to be masculine or feminine in a contemporary context, particularly when societal norms are increasingly challenged? Continuing this discourse, Speaker B contributes personal anecdotes that illustrate the evolving nature of gender roles. The conversation navigates through the significance of colors, styles, and clothing in expressing one's identity, as exemplified by Speaker A's assertion of comfort in wearing pink and glitter. This assertion serves to dismantle the rigid barriers established by traditional masculinity, thus advocating for a broader acceptance of diverse expressions of self. The dialogue culminates in a recognition of the intersectionality of gender, wherein individuals embody a spectrum of traits regardless of societal expectations, thereby enriching the conversation surrounding gender fluidity and personal authenticity.

Takeaways:

  1. In discussing astrological signs, we explored the dichotomy of masculine and feminine traits associated with them.
  2. We examined how societal perceptions of gender roles influence personal expression, particularly regarding attire and self-presentation.
  3. The conversation highlighted the fluidity of gender expression, showcasing examples from our own experiences and attire choices.
  4. We emphasized the importance of breaking traditional gender norms to allow for more authentic self-representation in society.
  5. Throughout the episode, we reflected on how astrology can inform and influence our understanding of gender characteristics.
  6. Lastly, we considered how personal identity is shaped by both astrological influences and societal expectations, fostering a deeper awareness.

Speaker A:

Oh, I have a better one.

Speaker A:

Don't.

Speaker A:

And when you're dealing with the sun.

Speaker A:

The sun.

Speaker A:

You can't use the sun with solar phase.

Speaker A:

But how about a masculine sun in.

Speaker A:

Well, no, that won't work.

Speaker A:

I was going to say Libra, but the sun is in.

Speaker A:

Libra is a masculine sign.

Speaker A:

So let's go the sun in Virgo.

Speaker A:

Virgo in a feminine quadrant.

Speaker A:

You see what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

What type of expression would that have?

Speaker A:

So that would be a son.

Speaker A:

Let's just say in Virgo in the third.

Speaker B:

Well, let me tell you something.

Speaker A:

More feminine will be more feminine than, you know.

Speaker B:

Well, all the, all the males that I know that are Virgo exhibits and actually I would probably have to look at the quadrant, but they, they to me seem like the most feminine.

Speaker B:

Like, and, you know, they're.

Speaker B:

They're men.

Speaker B:

But like, there's such a.

Speaker B:

A very, like, distinct feminine quality to them.

Speaker A:

Okay, well.

Speaker A:

Ha.

Speaker A:

So just so.

Speaker A:

Just so people won't go negative with this, I'm a Virgo with my son in a feminine sign.

Speaker A:

But it's.

Speaker A:

But it's in a masculine quadrant.

Speaker A:

So what does.

Speaker A:

How does that manifest?

Speaker A:

That question I asked you, can real men wear pink?

Speaker A:

I could.

Speaker A:

I wear.

Speaker A:

Yeah, all the time out, and I don't have a problem with it.

Speaker A:

But then there's other.

Speaker A:

Not only that, can't wear the pink shirt and, you know, think it has something to do with their sexuality.

Speaker B:

Of course.

Speaker B:

Of course.

Speaker B:

But not only that.

Speaker B:

You're actually.

Speaker B:

So, like, if we go back to like, you know, that quote, unquote, gender role of like, so, like women.

Speaker B:

So, like, okay, generally women take more.

Speaker B:

So more take more care of themselves than men.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

Like, traditionally or whatever, you know, men tend to be, what, like, technically more sloppy.

Speaker B:

More like, they're more focused, like, in their work.

Speaker B:

So they don't care about their appearance as much.

Speaker B:

You know, not every man.

Speaker B:

But I'm just saying, like, generally, if we go back to, like, tradition, you have this quality about you where you look very put together all the time.

Speaker B:

And on top of the fact that you like to make shirts, your shirts are very bright and kind of shiny, which is.

Speaker B:

Which is that like a sort of feminine expression coming out.

Speaker A:

Wait, are you trying to say men are not supposed to wear glitter on their T shirts?

Speaker B:

Okay, I'm not saying that.

Speaker B:

And again, you know, for other, for, for other people out there that, like.

Speaker A:

Yes, I wear glitter on my T shirts, and they're shiny and they shine and they bright and they sparkle.

Speaker B:

So that in itself.

Speaker B:

That in itself is like, which kind of.

Speaker B:

It's, it's, it's.

Speaker B:

It's unusual based on, you know, the traditional, like, gender roles of society or.

Speaker A:

Whatever, you know, I would.

Speaker A:

I would agree with you.

Speaker B:

No one come from my head.

Speaker B:

I'm just talking in terms of, like, traditional society that, like, obviously doesn't work anymore because we don't ascribe to that shit.

Speaker B:

But, yeah, that's, that's, that's a really good example.

Speaker B:

And me, on the other hand, you know, like, look, look.

Speaker B:

I wore a dress this weekend for my birthday and I told everyone.

Speaker B:

I was like, I'm in drag, guys.

Speaker A:

Yeah, you're in.

Speaker A:

Yeah, you're.

Speaker A:

Let me see.

Speaker A:

And then you have your moon sign.

Speaker A:

It's, it's.

Speaker A:

It's in masculine.

Speaker A:

Your feminine moon is in a masculine sign, but it's more feminized because it's in a feminine quadrant.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

And so my son and my Jupiter, which are both masculine planets, are in very feminine signs, but they're in the masculine quadrant.

Speaker B:

So I have this, like, you know, I.

Speaker B:

Everyone's always told me that, like, I look, like.

Speaker B:

I look very, like, soft, but there's, like, a lot of parts of me that can be, like, really rough.

Speaker B:

Like, I could be, like, really rough with, like, I don't know, like, speaking or just, like, the way that I can just kind of be, like, not as, you know, a girl should be.

Speaker B:

If that makes any sense.

Speaker A:

Yeah, it does.

PAUL HEATH

I am Paul. When I reflect back on my life, I was always interested in astrology. I would read my daily horoscope in the newspaper every day and often wonder, “how do they know?”
One day I was told I am a “cusp of beauty”, because my birthday was the last day of Virgo. I went home to research what cusp of beauty meant. My curiosity soared when finding out the meaning. I didn’t realize that I had just begun the journey of “Know Thyself.”
Learning how to read my natal chart I acquired the skills to assist others with deciphering their own chart-energy. Astrology has helped me understand and accept me for who I am. Although still work in progress, knowing about myself is surely making the process easier. I enjoy helping others (Virgo Sun) with the information I have gathered (Gemini Rising) that will help transform lives (Scorpio Moon) in a positive way.
I look forward to meeting and working with you as we embark on your journey.
